Can you get elite players for £24m these days? He's in the next bracket, proven in the Premiership, coming into his peak years. £24m seems like market value to me.

fellaini is very strong with his back against the goal, shielding off players and getting the ball under control. my only worry is how strong is he when he is part of a possession based team, where he will have his back facing our goal most of the time. is he good enough on the ball to keep the ball moving with pace and accuracy?

Not sure if we really are a possession team anymore tbh. Although, that could be attributed to either a change in tactics or a reduction in technical players with good ball retention.

i agree, but that's caused by a lack of quality, not a lack of trying. we're still trying to play possession football; we're just not very good at it.

Our domination of possession these days tends to be at the back and mainly on Merte and Sagna side as the opposition considers them toothless. We get closed down pretty sharpish when the ball is higher up the pitch and that's where players who can hold onto the ball, fending off challenges, are most useful.

I think Fellaini is great in possession. He plays simple short passes. His passing is certainly better than Denilson

i do. i'd like to see fellaini come in and take arteta's place in the team. banega, wilshere and fellaini in central midfield?

I just like him as a player, and wouldn't mind where we use him

He has undeniable strengths and plus points so he'd be a top addition to the squad.

Defo want more players who are comfortable with the ball and who can influence games whilst complimenting our style

I like banega a lot too but there are areas we need to addresses before midfield

I think we need to get another top drawer centreback, another centre forward and we certainly should be getting more out of our right backs in an attacking sense, especially when you consider the amount of time they spend in the opponents half

Don't need a CB, just get midfielders and attackers in. A right back if a good one pops up somewhere.

I don't think we need a starter but if Djourou goes then we're down to 3 and if we replace Sagna with an attacking right back then we don't even have an emergency 4th choice centre half.

Honestly? Have we been linked to anyone other than Williams?

Personally I can't see Wenger moving Verms any further down the pecking order (he is club captain after all), if we sign anyone it will surely be a youngster or someone who is versatile and can play in other positions.

Unless of course we sell Kos, I can't see that happening either though.

More than reliable cover for RB and CB - good for a few goals each year too!
