Not sure I'd want him as a starter, but if we had him, Kos, Mert and Verm that should be enough defensive cover.

seems like overkill to have vermaelen or skrtel as 4th choice. anyone watch him a lot? is there any chance he regains form and usurps mertesacker's place?

the guy is a CB, who gives a shit about playing style? just defend and get the ball to a midfielder as fast as you can. since when is brendan rodgers some sort of barometer for proper football?

think there might be something to it, in his zenit days, i remember him admitting :1) arsenal were constantly watching him 2.) he is an arsenal fan

he didnt get on with rodgers and really had a bad season, but the season before he was one of their best players, theres a good player in him
