Michu had scored 15 La liga goals last season.

Gervinho and Giroud were great in ligue 1 and here they are average.

Grenier is 22 and hasn't done anything of note.

He could turn out great but chances are he isn't going to be good enough and he clearly is not a finished product.

At 22 I'd take James Mccarthy though not another ligue 1 kid who'll be average or leaves in 2 years if he's any good.

Doesn't help that his own fans don't seem to rate him that highly, aside from our own grievances regarding the quality of recent Ligue 1 signings.

They rate his talent, he's just not been consistent, goes missing in games plus he's been in and out of the team because of niggling injuries

Does it physically prevent us bringing in another player or two? No. Does it make us much, much less likely to bring in another player into an already crowded midfield? Absolutely.

If he would come in to replace Rosicky in the long term (after next season) i wouldnt mind. But if he's our only MF addition this year its not remotely good enough.

Very underwhelming scouting video. Glaring weakness: Tackling, Pace, Aggression. Just what you need in the PL. Would rather Chambo/Jack at AM.
