Why wouldn't Rooney want to play no.10? That's his position.
He clearly has/had a difficult relationship with Fergie and the united hierarchy (lying about transfer requests, playing in midfield, being scapegoated for the real madrid games) and he may not fancy working with Moyes or having another similar year.
