Everyone who has ever worked with Rooney has said that he lives and breaths football; the bloke just wants to play and whoever gives him that freedom will benefit.

In saying that, we'll sign Higuain instead.

His passion on the pitch is evident, but his off-field misadventures point to a guy who's emotionally dissatisfied and more than a bit clueless. So yeah, I think he's a risk for whoever takes him.

Well the granny thing was ten years ago. The rest just seems like normal 'bloke' behaviour to me. Maybe you don't want your players caught in that, but I don't think it evidences a fragility or particular disorder.

Well, I guess we're as likely as not to see—that's my prediction. He'd need a new manager to nurture his ego a fair bit and assure him of his centrality to plans, I reckon. Maybe Mourinho will be able to do it.

I think he'd be amazing for Chelsea. Could well tip the league in their favour if he goes there and they get a quality CM and CB.

Put Rooney in Chelsea's side and I'd have them as favourites for the league.

Rooney is a top class forward and has exceptional versatility.

Rooney, Mata, Hazard and Oscar, they would be favourites without a doubt.

Rooney and Mourinho in theory won't be an easy relationship.

Anyways, I think he will stay at United.

If we somehow end up signing Rooney, we would be England lite.

Yep. As soon as the Mourinho thing started to come clear i've been banging that drum. They only need a world class striker and you can be sure Mou fixes all their defensive worries aswell and they are favourites for the league.

Arsenal fielding a near all British outfield - Jenkinson, Jagielka, Gibbs, Ramsey, Wilshere, Chamberlain, Walcott and Rooney - the press wouldn't know what to write in the paper the next day! 🙂

Most of those could be starters for England next summer as well.
