Bale would have to want to go, Spurs would have to be willing to let him go (Levy has forced players to stay before), Higuian would have to want to go to Spurs and Spurs would have to accept him as part of the deal (and his 100k+ p/week wages), and then they'd need to negotiate his worth. And all that is only once they get round the negotiating table. In the mean time Madrid and Spurs will be chasing other targets and Higuian will want his future sorted.

I hope bale stays so that they receive less money for him next summer.

I doubt he'll repeat last season's efforts and given that we should strengthen, we won't be mucking about with them for 4th

It wasn't and he's the real deal.

It's not that simple Asa. The interest of the club is not to sell the player because fee or not it makes them look bad and they lose a great player. Frankly in my opinion all these so-called fees about nearing the world record or whatnot seem ridiculous at the moment. He's a great player but he needs to prove himself more getting close to that figure. I reckon 50 million-ish. Let's get this straight that prior to this season his highest goal tally was 12.

Not to mention, Higuain would demolish their wage structure. They may do that for Bale (although it remains to be seen), but Higuain is a different matter altogether.

What are you saying? That Real wouldn't be sucked into paying huge money for him? Because their courting of him so far suggests otherwise.

Or that Spurs are in a position to turn down a fee of the order of £40m + Higuain (which they can spin however they like) for him, if he wants to go?

Anyway, not saying I know for sure what is happening. But it sure looks to me like, if he leaves Real, Spurs are as good a bet as anyone.

I can see the logic in the deal you're suggesting, but right now its pure fantasy. Its not even something that's been talked about or suggested by anyone but you.

Higuain needs to agree to go to Spurs, Asa. If we or Juventus are seriously in for him, he might refuse to go there and opt for one of the two other teams and Madrid may just replace him with money they'll get from us/Juve in the deal.

If 40 mill + Higuain is tough to turn down for Spurs, so is 60-63 million. And they can, finaly, buy the Brazilian striker they get linked to, every year.
