I'm almost happy about this. We were a better team when he was around and I remember Arsenal fondly back then hahah.

RC is right!
We certainly would be a better team with him around here.
Unfortunately he will probably go to Chelsea or City and they'll win the title instead.
Chelsea have been poor enough the last 2 years, i'd rather that didn't change. Mourinho coming back is bad news.
After what he said last night, about him wanting to be somewhere where he's loved, I think he's definitely going back to Chelsea.
Not good news for us, especially if he has financial backing this summer. I imagine that he would want a new striker, CM, and RB.
It will be interesting to see if he sticks with a Madrid style 4-2-3-1, or if he reverts to his tried and true Chelsea 4-3-3. I'd imagine he'll stick with 4-2-3-1 though, Chelsea's squad is built for it.
Mourinho coming back + Chelsea continuing their trend of big spending = no league title for us. I mean, we knew that anyway but 3 teams fighting it out for the trophy will see us kicked firmly to the curb even we spent a little money this summer.
Sad news for us, Mourinho's side always challenge for the title. Added to the fact he now have so many talented players in Chelsea, probably a better squad than the one he had last time, he will break the duopoly of the Manc club.
Can Wenger wake up and start signing class players?
Not only does it make winning the title harder, but the Cups too.
Mourinho has always been strong in the Cups as the second he knows the title is lost all efforts/resources are diverted to Cup silverware.
Bah.
You lot need to stop crying in advance.
If Mourinho goes back to Chelsea it'd be one hell of a humble pie for Abramovich. I don't see it.
Abramovic won't rehire Mourinho.
Anywhere but the PL.

Where else would he go?
Not Italy, not elsewhere in Spain, highly unlikely to go to Germany.
That leaves City and Chelsea as realistic destinations, with PSG being an unlikely (imo) one.
maureen coming back is certainly bad news for us. however, he will make the premier league less dull. he always pisses everyone off in some comical fashion.

Bah.
Well don't forget that his Chelsea side still hold the league points total record, the fact that he is such a good tactical manager in cup games for me is to his immense credit.

City, unless Fergie steps down.
Anybody thinks Mourinho's spell at Madrid has been terribly underwhelming? I think Marcotti made alot of sense in this article. Its been a failure of 3 seasons. Pellegrini would have done a better job.
I really don't give a fuck about what he does next season.
Nor me. He'll go to a club with an already strong squad, spend a couple of hundred million, win a trophy or two then move on.
He's lost his sparkle. Game's evolved
Teasing the media again today, he knows they will lap up every word he says and boy does he love the attention.
He is probably the biggest troll is world football. We need a meme for him.
He just did a Benitez during Real's press conference
He had a sheet of paper with him with statistics about former Real managers. No mind games, this is facht.
Heres another facht about Benitez, he'll probably add another UEFA cup to his record of trophies.
Yes. Well, if he's proud of that given the position his team was in 8 months ago then good for him.
Well it's something Wenger never even managed to do in 30 years.
Because that bastard played in the Champions league for the majority of his career! Anyway, you don't have a point here. Nice try. I mean, sensational work on changing the topic of the thread, but no cigar.
Jeebus, every fucking thread!

Err so did our bastard- As he constantly remind's us.

In which case your '30 years' comment is a little disingenuous.
No we were talking about the UEFA cup then which Wenger competed in as a player and manager.
We're not even smart enough to finish 3rd and get a passport into the latter stages of the UEFA cup, no, we have to romp the group stages (playing fringe players at the end so we miss out on top spot) so we get drawn against a top team and get ass raped in the first leg perform decently in the second leg go out after 1 knockout leg.
Rinse and repeat.
So Chelsea were smart to finish third? Fantastic.
I'm out before Burnwinter's forced to lock another thread.
Nah we're okay GM, I think he's got me on his ignore list so it looks like you're arguing with yourself.
My main gripe with Wenger is that, despite managing such a big club for 16 years, he's never won the Championship. Not once. You gotta wonder why that is. Best manager in the club's history can't even win the English second division. It makes you think.
Sure does Klaus, although he does call the premiership "the championship" but that as Capi says is probably more mistranslation rather than a Freudian slip.
In football 365 today the poll is who is Europes best manager?
Jupp Heynckes
Alex Ferguson
Jurgen Klopp
Jose Mourinho
Pep Guardiola
No mention of "one of the top coaches in the world".
....... And Guardiola hasn't even worked this year.
Biggus wrote:Heres another facht about Benitez, he'll probably add another UEFA cup to his record of trophies.
He'd probably happily sacrifice his team finishing in the Top 4 for that, a trophy on his CV will look more impressive than a top 4 finish.
He's a bit funny like that.....
As Gunner89 said: When are they painting on that 4th place trophy at the Emirates, over the summer?
Biggus, would you honestly prefer to win the UEFA cup but finish 5th in the league?
I would.
Irish gunner wrote:Biggus, would you honestly prefer to win the UEFA cup but finish 5th in the league?
Of course, its a trophy.
Not the most prestigious one of course but it's real not a chimera, whats 4th place? just an entry into a competition we have no chance of winning.
A half a loaf is better than no bread.
Mourinho looks beaten and lifeless these days.
He'll find it alot harder this time around, that is a certainty.
