Teams like Chelsea, Man City, Real Madrid and Barcelona have set a bar though. If you don´t spend enormously you won´t win anything of importance. That´s the lesson. Pretty much the only club that can compete with that lot and still reasonably live within their means is Man U. Their ability to make money is far greater than ours though.

The emergence of Chelsea meant that it was no longer a two horse race in England between Man U and Arsenal. In retrospect we were blown out of the water then and there really. The emergence of Man City just means that there are three teams that can realistically win it.

The one thign i admired in those city players was their fearlessness. doesn't matter how expensive and highly paid you are, getting intimidated at OT happens to everyone. I actually thought a few of them would go into hiding, but I don't there was a single underperformer in the team.

Balotelli, Aguero and Silva are a class above. United have Rooney. Arsenal have RvP. Citeh have 3 of these guys. (and Nasri and Dzeko aren't half bad either). Chelsea doesn't even have a galactico at present although Torres might yet return to such levels.

I'm fine with Citeh. Pool, Arsenal and Chelsea have failed to curb United dominance, so I'm happy to cheer on Citeh as they topple those arrogant pricks. Our time will come. Don't despair.

I've been watching him closely in the last 6 months and it's easy to forget he's only 21. Reminds me of a young Anelka, raw, but very quick and powerful.

Don't mind City either. The way they've gone about building their team is disgusting, but i like the way they play, certainly better to watch than the United and Chelsea teams that have run roughshod in the last 5 years

Most happy 🙂 to see United truly and deeply humiliated but not actually pleased to see City do well.
It surprises me when I hear Arsenal supporters say they'll cheer City.
They threaten to cherry pick our best players, for that alone I can't bear them.

On top of that all this Pozman rubbish and noisy neighbours business is already doing my head in.
Only a matter of time now before all total dweebs come out as City fans.
