Just watched Citeh game. Tevez really is a beast. It was so sad to see the contrast today, as they were strong, physical, and fought hard for the whole game. They do need to get away from the idea of Silva as primary playmaker. He is more Nasri than Fabregas. He doesn't demand the ball enough, nor does he make the final pass or shoot enough. They're almost there. Just need that Fabregas / Kaka player they're rumored to be chasing and they'll be cruising.

Mancini is building a side properly the way it should be, firstly assemble a tough powerful unit that is defensively solid and difficult to beat, then when they've started to gel and won a minor trophy the confidence flows and when they can beat most sides with ease then they can start to think about being more attacking and attractive.

Wenger has done it all arse ways- trying to teach his players to ride a motorbike before they can walk- as Kami says.

I hadn't seen City play for a while and yesterday I kept switching between joy and sadness. The joy of watching a match as a neutral and enjoying a display of power, skill and purpose, which would then turn to sadness each time it would hit me that this was the Arsenal of old and also the realisation that they were taking our place in English football not just on the table this season but possibly for the future!

We've reversed roles, what a fuck up you are Mr Wenger!

Not than I'm agreeing with or excusing what you're saying about City taking our place, Lagos, but I think a certain £400M+ in spending might have had something to do with it too!

Yes you are, why bring up the $400m if it's not meant to be an excuse?

That's like saying it's ok for your GF to be shacked up with some other guy because he has $400m more than you do!

Thats the worst analogy I've ever read 😆

Sounds like Lagos is announcing that he'll be shacking up with Citeh next season. 🙂

I think lagos still has Cill's flattering to conceive reference on the brain.

Being in a position to spend £400 million on the squad does give City a massive advantage over us lagos.

That's not an excuse - our challenge is to be bolder and take calculated risks with the means that we do have, along with having a manager who can get the best out of our squad and create a team that is stronger than the sum of it's parts.

We are on shaky ground on both fronts at the moment.

why bring it up if it's not a reason to say it helped them which I interprete as an excuse?

My analogies are the best Qs just ask AntG 😆

When I read it first I thought Lagos said "it's like saying it's ok for your GK to be shacked up with some other guy," and I thought it was about Almunia........

What's this? Almunia's girlfriend is worth $400m!? :\

Nah, Tim, that's Bendtner's girl.

But in support of Lagos, the invincibles didn't cost that much with respect to other teams built at the time.

Of course not, money is not the issue it's just a convenient excuse for failure.
Wenger got lucky with the players he inherited, he was also in the right place at the right time to access the French golden generation.
Now that his luck has run out- he's been found out.

Forget Arsenal for another hour.
Falcao scored a gorgeous header, of a cross from the Porto right flank. Just jumped up and gave it a slight glance from the penalty spot (on a counter) and sent it past the Braga goalie. Perfect No. 9 goal. Falcao will have to move this summer. He's done too well in this tournament to have not caught the eye of teams that may want strikers like Chelsea and Madrid.

Hes just awesome. Best header of the ball I have seen since Klose

They cost a lot more than the current team did, comparatively speaking.

That's some horrible revisionism Bigs. The only 'inherited' player in the first team when we last won the league was Bergkamp, and he played the least of any of them.

Wenger has an outstanding track record of signing and developing players going back 20+ years.

Why not Falcao? Can't he be our new No. 9?

Now you just sound bitter. Wenger got lucky all the way back in 1980s when he signed Weah, I suppose?

But hardly getting value for money with this crop
