I don't get the sentence. If it's the real deal, he should be banned for years and years. If he's just a bit part player (turning the other cheek etc) he shouldn't be hit so heavy.

The charges against his direct involvement were dismissed last month. I guess the ban is limited in time because the evidence is weak. The fact that Conte himself but forward a plea where he proposed to serve a three-month suspension and pay a couple hundred thousand Euros says it all though. He's guilty as sin and should be kicked out of football all together like Captain says. The 10-month ban will be overturned by his lawyers soon.

I don't know Klaus.Is not reporting an "unsporting" incident that bad? Lot of people simply walk away from anything bad not doing anything.

When it happens not once but twice you're either stupid or in on it. The implication was that Conte isn't stupid, but they couldn't prove it.

Ja. But I think he's being scape goated. I can't believe such a thing as match fixing could be going on in Italy, and most, if not all of the top clubs wouldn't be involved or know about it.

That league is truly fucked up. Lost almost all its credibility for me.

The top clubs weren't involved precisely because it's more difficult to throw games of that magnitude, especially since last time. The only Serie A clubs that have been implicated are Lazio, Genoa and Siena.

Wasn't it all of Conte's players and all of the opposition players that were in on the fix? Hard to see how he wouldn't have known about it.

But it doesn't matter which clubs in Serie A have been implicated. The league has lost credibility.
