But for us it is GM, because we've never won it, someone correct me if I'm wrong but I think we must be unique among the "top" European clubs in this respect.
This is a rotting cancerous sore on our great history and must be addressed.
There is one small ray of hope, even the greatest team in the known universe (c) only won their 1st in 92 and had to wait till 06 for their 2nd.
But we're also unique to be among the few clubs in the modern game to complete a season (and more) unbeaten.
I'd happily trade my first born child for a CL title* but where's your sense of occasion and romance?
Despite the CL being the hardest trophy to win (I still think the current premier league is harder) just by sheer frequency there's a lot of it to go around. Besides, we've only been competing regularly in the CL past 12 years which is nothing relative to most of the other regular winners.
That isn't to say one is better than the other, it's just that going 49 unbeaten is a landmark achievement. Something which resonates with me as much as anything else about the club, including a potential CL win, and adds to the history of it all.
