Pure emotional response.

Though I see the logic in what you say ILYAW.

😆 And theres no need to apologise.

Little Boots what are you thinking?
Best not try to be too clever, Spurs out Spurs out Spurs out.........

Just read about it too.

RIP

Remember him well as a player, sad news.

Anybody just see Benzema's miss in the Real game? Wow.

Real Madrid are much more fun than Barcelona. Bet Mourinho can't sleep at night because of some of their defending.

Why are barca more fun? It's funny seeing Real lob balls into the box.

Outside of Messi, Barcelona are almost mechanical. Real madrid have alot of varying styles and individual ability in their starting eleven and I find it more entertaining watching them weave it together with ridiculous bits of individual skill interspersed.

And did you see Ronaldo try a Delap at the end there. Brilliant.

Me too. Messi tends to get a bit too mechanical as well for my taste. He does it a little too well and too effective. I think it was you who described his technique as very argentinian in some other thread, and that's how I feel. Some of the stuff he does is jawdropping but it's not like watching Ronaldinho when he was at the height of his game, or Rivaldo. They were poetry in motion.

😆 Who brings an air rifle to the training ground? Did he expect people to be impressed over it?

😆 Maybe being an armed thug is in the contract of all Romans employee's

I find Real Madrid boring as hell personally. Don't quite get the same joy watching Barcelona as most (and I don't mean people on here cause I know how a lot feel about them..) either.

I could watch Messi all day though.

ESPN must love the click-through rate on the headline "Ashley Cole shoots Chelsea intern" 😆

I love watching Xavi. That type of player is my favourite to watch. Obviously it's exciting watching an explosive player, especially one who can run with the ball and with some flair in his game, but Fabregas, Wilshere, Schweinsteiger, they're the ones I enjoy the most. Ramsey, for a spell before he was injured, too.

😆 At least we know now who he was aiming for in the stands when he took that penalty against Everton.

i really find barca annoying to watch, and not because i have an anti-barca bias (which i do). if i want to watch futsal, i'll watch futsal. i need technique mixed with athleticism - for me the invincibles were the ideal team aesthetically. the perfect passage of play for me is a fearsome sliding tackle to win the ball, followed by 4 one or two touch passes amongst players just streaming down the pitch on the counterattack, leading to a goal. 30 pass moves bore me. i should wash my mouth with soap, but united had some really good teams to watch, too.

Germany were remarkable, Dules. I loved watching every minute of them. That was football. Damn them, but that United team with Tevez and the Winker were also really good to watch.

I agree that Barca can be a bit soporific at times. I preferred when they had Eto'o and Ronaldinho up front. There was a bit more cut and thrust to them. This current team is great, but it's almost as hypnotizing for the fan as it is for the opponent to watch Iniesta and Xavi passing the ball in little triangles for 10 minutes before they make an opening
