I've barely seen him play this season, that's why I asked. I usually don't watch Chelsea, United or Liverpool if I can avoid it. I've seen enough of Luiz in the past to know that he's a good defender though, and he played under Villas-Boas at Benfica in a system similar to the one he's trying to implement at Chelsea at the moment. Has he really been worse than Terry this season?
Luiz imo, is a great athlete and a good natural footballer, but a poor defender.
Has apparently been excellent for the Brazilian NT recently though, so maybe it's just a poor understanding with terry that's making him look shit...?
Maybe, but they did well together last season. It could just be down to poor coaching too. Terry has been terrible (pun intended, thank you very much) this season as well, and even though I've never rated him half as much as some in here there's no question that he's an excellent player. Maybe Villas-Boas really don't know how to coach a defence. It's hard to tell until they've sorted out the rest of the team, but you can get away with a lot of stuff for Benfica and Brazil that you won't get away with in Premier League.
Even Ashley looks dodgy in that Chelsea back four these days.
Ashley cole has always Ben a dodgy defender IMO
Both VDV (hamstring) and Modric ("ill") out of the Spurs squad to face West Brom away. They have a poor record against them too. Hmmm. Possibility that they might drop points today.

Villas boas never managed Benfica, he managed Porto and Luiz played for Benfica.
WBA 1-0 ahead.
Please win wba

Indeed 🙂 Don't know what I was thinking about.
Benfica plays a similar type of football though. Luiz should have no problem adjusting to it in England. With Chelsea it's just hard to tell where the systematic flaws end and the individual mistakes begin at the moment.
Fuck.

I'm watching Man U V Newcastle, less enraging. Still 0-0
Newcastle not troubled so far, bar one good chance from the Mancs which Krul saved brilliantly.
It'll be enraging when they fluke yet another undeserved win.
Sandro should've been sent off. West Brom are so much better than Spurs at the moment that it's almost comical.
I just a ton on spurs to win. Come on west brom
