Indeed but PSG have told them to pretty much forget about him and I think his agent has said he is staying as well. They have raised about £25mill so far this summer from sales, don't know how much of that has been eaten up with Neymar's transfer though. I know they don't have a lot of money at the moment but if they sell Fabregas they'll need to probably bring someone in as I don't know any of the youth players are ready to step up yet.

Thing is, it would appear that they don't think Fabregas is worth keeping. Fans don't seem to rate him, manager doesn't seem to; but who knows really.

Ballague tends to know fuck all but if Man Utd are making a €30m bid then that's very interesting. It should be exactly what we want - test Barca's resolve in terms of how much they want to keep him. News is quite transparent among the top clubs and agents, but what is not transparent is what is reported to us. If Man Utd have made an offer, they must think they have a chance of getting him.

Manchester United have made a £25m bid for Barcelona's former Arsenal midfielder Cesc Fabregas.

The offer is currently under consideration but is understood to be below the Spanish club's current valuation of the player.

While Fabregas is not pushing for a move, it is believed he is open to a move back to England.

The 26-year-old will be guided by whether Barcelona are prepared to accept an offer for him.

Indeed, the fans really do not like him at all and I think he knows that, they've never forgiven him for leaving and then on top his performances haven't been good enough either. I think he was Pep's choice than anyone else. Going by what the BBC is saying I think he is waiting to be nudged out and isn't going to leave otherwise.

What do you reckon Cap, will we make a last ditch attempt to bring him back if Barca tell him to leave?

Assuming that we would enter the bidding (and Barca are selling obviously), I think that given a choice between Moyes at ManU and Wenger at Arsenal, there is only one clear winner.

Also, 25m is a low offer even if that 50% sell on clause doesn't exist. If it does, theres no way Barca would accept... surely?

Not sure the timing is great straight after the Thiago sale. Barca should have sold Xavi the time is right to move on.
