Lloris has adapted to this league a lot quicker than I thought he would of, been a sound buy for Spurs. Experienced at the highest level as well so he would of done well here.
Rene Adler
I told you bastards, and I got posts full of scoffing. Postfull.
Didn't he have a big injury last season? Over that completely now then i take it?
Injury free for the first time in two years and playing like the best German keeper again.
Good enough for me. Willkommen Rene.
Lloris was silly to move to spurs. He's stuck there for a while now
Jawohl to this.
This guy looks awesome. Physically dominant.
Yes please
given how tight the board is, i'd rather they used the money on a striker and a real CM. i dont think chesney and fabianski are that bad, though you wonder about fab's propensity for injury.
Kami, I'll take anything that replaces a player who isn't Cazorla, Wilshere, Koscielny (and maybe our fullbacks). The rest need upgrades. Adler is welcome.
Come on, Podolski is fine.
Podolski is good but would he, for example, make the Bayern starting line-up. Or get close. Dortmund?
Would Wilshere? Cazorla?
I think Wilshere or Cazorla could easily come in as replacements for Gotze next season and both could start this season next to Gotze and Reus. Bayern would be harder.
But in our context, both are good enough.

Not one of our player would start for Bayern. Wilshere will struggle to make the bench if they sign Gotze and Lewandowski.
I think Gibbs can start for Dortmund? Or at least in contention. Koscielny might too.
It's a ridiculous way to 'grade' a player though, isn't it?
Bayern are hot right now, but I've seen those same players post 70 odd points last year and almost drop out of the champions league altogether the year before. Dortmund will post 70 this year.
We have plenty of players who are good enough, the team just need completing.

Koscielny can start for Bayern and is as good as Hummels.

what's ridiculous is our overall quality.
are you really truly, genuinely excited by anyone outside the guys we have mentioned? now put yourself in the shoes of a United or Citeh fan and think about how many guys you'd be excited by or have faith in on those teams. i don't recall ever seeing so few trustworthy guys on a Wenger team
Back four is fine. Wilshere is fine. Cazorla, Ramsey (now), Arteta, Podolski all fine. Yes, I think we need signings, but we have a good team, not great, good.
How many players would you take from Chelsea? Probably a fair few but they find themselves in a three way dogfight with us and tottenham. As I said, it's a silly way to judge.
People need the get over the idea that you need 11 world class players in every podition. You need a few in key positions but the rest just need to be of good quality.
I'd take a bunch of Chelsea players
The three musketeers for a start. Cashley. And Cech.
I just can't believe that we'll have pretty much ten squad places available in the summer.
That's why I was wondering about guys like Inui this morning.
Just looked up his injury record, its not very good. Not much better than Fabianski's actually.
That's why we didn't take him on a free last summer. He looks to be over it now, played every game this season.
I presume keepers weren't high on the agenda last summer as the hope was Szczesny would kick on which is understandable really. I'd love to know what Wengers real thoughts on the keeping situation is.....what he thinks of both Poles and what his ideal set up is for next season. I don't think its certain that we sign a keeper.
You think? Fabianski was basically done here and we only had Mannone. Maybe not a priority but you would have to think we had some interest in bringing a player in for that position.
Oh i think we would have bought a keeper if the right one became available at a good price. But i don't think we would have been actively looking for a Szczesny replacement. Its probably a similar story this summer and if Adler is available on the cheap then like you say i think there could be genuine interest there.

Koscielny can start for Bayern and is as good as Hummels.
You think he is better or more consistent than Badstuber and Dante?

Think we are regretting not signing Lloris on a cheap.
Rex wrote:Hmm. I'd personally have a new goalkeeper a bit down the list on signings we need to make in order to better compete. I guess I rate Sneezey higher than most and have more faith in him to further improve. Having said that - Adler is indeed a very good goalkeeper.
No interest in a new keeper.

we dont have a single world class player, and we've got a lot of inefficient players who do too many stupid things. in cup ties, that will kill you.
we have a good team, but we do need 1-2 world class players brought in, and they cost a shitload (and rightfully so).
we have the money, Kami, and we can sell if need be to bring in world class stars in my mind, if you're not (e.g.) Wilshere, Cazorla, Koscielny, Nacho, or Sagna, I don't see why you can't be sold to finance some top-tier purchases. keep some of the kids as well (Ox, Gibbs, Ramsey etc); but if we can sell the likes of Giroud, Chamakh, Gervinho, Vermaelen to bring in a top-tier player, we'd be better off.

The key is "the rest need to be of good quality"
Ours clearly isn't, let alone world class players. Clear the dead woods first.
Our team is 'good quality' though. Sagna, Mertesacker, Koscielny, Arteta, Ramsey, Rosicky, Podolski, AOC, Walcott, Gibbs, Monreal, Wilshere, Sneezey - those players are all 'good quality'. We need a few more Cazorlas though that are 'top, top class quality'.
Clarence, it's complete hyperbole to say we don't have players who are of good quality. You could probably replace 2/3 of United's team with our lot and they'd still have romped to the league title. The difference between us and them is the final 1/3 of the side.

Eh? I think I should have worded it better. I meant not ALL of them are of good quality. We have a few flaws to sort it out first.
"Sometimes you should just be satisfied with what you have right now,β he said during an event in Hamburg on Thursday. βI donβt feel like moving yet again."
Apologies if posted.

You're 30 odd, get over it. We are young only once in life.
Sounds like you need to be doing some of this Dula.
