Was dodgy for a couple of set pieces but overall i feel much more comfortable with him in goal ahead of Szczesny.

He did some great keeping but he did get increasingly flappy as the match wore on. He's everything everyone always says—good shot stopper, shit at crosses.

Distribution still good.

One thing I find odd is that people are so certain that his issues can't be fixed whereas Szczesny will inevitably eventually iron out his weaknesses. Why?

No matter how you look at it, it's hard to argue that he's in the team on merit. He was injured for 18 months or something along those ridiculous lines. He only got a chance to tend again because Szczesny played himself out of the competition. He's been a mixed bag since then. Better than Szczesny of late but not really that great. But more importantly: he's shown himself to be both inconsistent and injury prone in the past. The best you can say about his mentality is that he's a confidence player.

Good keeper but his form has been off of late.

If its a new tender we want look at ter stegen.

I like Begovic from what i've seen but i wonder what he's like at sweeping and its impossible to judge his distribution.

This

It is a very different game for a goalkeeper to play for Stoke, or any other smaller club for that matter, compared to playing for a big club. At smaller clubs they tend to be involved more in the game, and more often than not they have a back 4 which is set up quite close to the goalkeeper. At any big club a goalkeeper is faced with long periods of inactivity due to the team being on the front foot and dominating possession a lot more. That is a much more difficult situation for a goalkeeper IMO, and all goalkeepers are certainly not cut out for it. At Arsenal you also have to factor in that we play a ridiculously high line too often and the chances we give to the opposition are often premium chances. This combination puts a stupid amount of pressure on a goalkeeper.

We won't buy a goalkeeper. Szczesny will start in goal next season, he's just going through a few inevitable, and necessary, growing pains. When he's on it and concentrated he's already top class in my opinion. It's about finding that consistency. I don't doubt for a second that he will. Similar to Chamberlain's situation. Where it's a matter of time before they really crack it and work everything out, and start producing their best level week in, week out.

He's only 25, I can't see us "killing" chez.

We may move for an older keeper if Fabianski leaves, but not one as young as Begovic.

So Flappy is off then. Good riddance.

Probably photoshop but i certainly wouldnt mind.

Its between him and Cesar. I say why not begovic? We are a big club and competition is good. Both him and Scez can compete for the number 1 position and if either is unsatisfied can leave after a season or two...

Szcz is 5 years younger.

The guy who screenshotted this says he swear its definitely not a photoshop. Was taken down just minutes later.

Jebus gays, it's so easy to edit text on a webpage. Doesn't require photoshop or any special software. Not even worth thinking about.

So why didn't he take a screen of the full article then?
