Arsenal plot cut-price £4m swoop for Loic Remy if QPR go down ARSENAL are planning a cut-price summer swoop for striker Loic Remy if QPR fail to avoid relegation from the Premier League. Manager Harry Redknapp signed Remy for £8m from Marseille in January, and the France international has scored three goals in six games. His £75,000-a-week contract includes an escape clause which would allow him to leave if they go down, which the 26-year-old would be likely to do in such circumstances. That means he would be available for about £4m and Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger, who has made enquiries for the striker before, is heading the queue as he looks to rebuild his side.

Sounds like us. 🙁

Has looked quite good for them so far.
Think he'd have a better chance at succeeding at CF than Theo would....so there's that at least when we tire of Giroud.
Think we should sign Remy on top of the quality striker we should be buying.
Remy can play any front 3 position and we can get rid of forehead.
Could be wrong but, like Rex, i am not convinced by this guy unless he has improved from when we were first linked to him a few years back. Thought he was a Boa-Morte level player who is good in a small team and not the kind of player that will improve us.
Rémy is actually quite decent (even if he has stalled over the past year) and would definitely be a worthwhile squad option for 4m. Wouldn't say no - he's better than Gerv and current form Theo.
If a Walcott off form is a benchmark to surpass...
Sorry ET, but i am nowadays wary of cheap French players.
i will become as obdurate as biggus in my wenger hate if we try and cut corners on the next striker we buy.
useless (former) ligue 1 player on the cheap. wenger will be all over this in june.

Not saying he should be our only forward signing, but for 4m why not? I think he'd give us what Theo can on a good day, with maybe the added bonus of additional covering for his fullback.
But who knows, I guess.
we need to stop wasting money on cheap players. isn't that what our (unproductive) academy should be producing anyway? our famed academy has given us Wilshere, Gibbs, Szczesny and to a lesser extent Walcott. That's one very good player in a squad of 11
would be such a darth wenger move.
😆
I think remy is good
I like him too. Think he would suit us.
He's looked decent enough, and I always thought he was a talent, but he spent a lot of time in France not looking up to much, or like fulfilling his potential. Not convinced yet that he's the real deal.
I know what you mean asa. Looks like he lacks aggression to go up a level

Agreed. Would be a good buy for 4m.
