I reckon Shevchenko's a bigger flop, Torres has actually won things with Chelsea and managed to score a few goals despite his ineptness.
No doubt, though if Chelsea had stuck with Sheva for as long as Torres he probably would've scored a few more. They just had a far stronger squad back then.
Point is รzil scored more than Torres in his first PL seasonโfrom midfield. 5 and 10 aren't amazing numbers but they could easily be 10 and 15 next year.
The reason รzil's copping flack and invading threads is that now we've won a trophy and we're spending money the shine's coming off the anti-Wenger cause and the haters need a fresh target.
Anyway, back to Sanchez.
The great thing about this signing is that it will open up a huge number of options for us, probably more than signing a centre forward to push Giroud onto the bench would have, keen as I was on that idea.
It won't rule out either Walcott or Sanchez starting front and centre for starters, something both players will be happy about.
