I wouldn't compare the two [Sanchez vs Ozil]. Different roles and different functions.

That said, Sanchez should be the most impactful forward player (in terms of goal scoring) we've signed since Henry.

Would bring much needed quality, pace, bite and aggressiveness to our attacking contingent. The best available that's not named Suarez...

box to box implies they do everything well. ramsey's overall stamina and his work-rate in defense is far superior to yaya, and his offensive output last season was about as good. yaya is basically an oversized attacking mid, and reserves energy mainly for attacks

I can't agree with you there. The fact is that Yaya has played centre-back at times for Barcelona and done well in a UCL final playing there too. I think Yaya's overall contribution too without goals is better which is why he was widely touted as the best CM even before this season ( In the last 3 he scored 6 league goals each). His big game record is absolutely phenomenal too. At this point I think the only things Ramsey is ahead is in stamina and ability to strike a ball.

watch yaya's games last year. there's a reason his 13/14 offensive stats are what they are. his defensive contribution was minimal. you could argue it was a strategic choice and he could work harder if he wanted, but when he pulls in the types of offensive numbers he did last season you could say it's a worthwhile trade-off. don't forget ramsey pre-injury was dominating pretty much every key midfield stat, offensively and defensively.

Players' inclination to defend often changes upon the instructions of their managers. Yaya is a force of nature going forward, so he has been asked to focus on that. He's also a guy who has played central defense in the Champions League and acquitted himself favourably. He's still the best central midfielder in England.

Ramsey has 6 months of top, top form to his name. Yes, it's the best midfield play we have seen in the post-Vieira era. But it's still only 6 months. I'm looking forward to his continued development, but I'd like to think we are past that era of overrating our midfielders. Nobody at Arsenal is the best anything right now, but we have a good group of players

he may have been the best midfielder, but based on last season he's not box to box which was what the original spark for this debate. i don't see how him having a spell at cb behind one of the most dominant barca midifelds ever has a bearing on his performances as a midfielder at city. box to box is a naff term i don't like using anyway.

Yaya has struck me as an extremely lazy player defensively this year. I doubt the fault for this lies at the feet of the managers instructions completely.

Milan can't offer Cl, wages or fee we can. No contest. They finished nearly 50 points behind Juventus so it's not that they are even close and half there squad needs to be replaced. All they do is sign freebies Alex, Honda etc.

Yaya Toure doesn't defend anymore. He is a guy playing in-between the space that a CM and AMC would play, he then breaks forward with the ball.
