Swap deals very rarely happen in football despite most papers usually trying to add 2+2 together.

Maybe if wenger is building a team with giroud upfront and goals from midfield. We did good with that formation till ramsey got injured/overplayed but still don't like that kinda team.

That has been my worry too regarding Sanchez - that he, Özil and Cazorla will get in each others way. I wonder what Wenger's plan with him is exactly. Surely there is no room for another no 10 with a free role in a team which is instead crying out for runners with end product. I'm thinking that the idea is to play him strictly as a wing forward like Theo and Podolski but he obviously offers much more ability on the ball than those two.
Well he's just come off a fantastic season at Barca playing as a support act to Messi and Neymar.

Sanchez isn't a number 10. You play him either as a forward or a winger.
Anyway for what its worth, he was one of Barca's best player last season.
he was very good on the right last season. showed he can adapt after having a patchy first season

😆 you had to go back a bit for that one.
Wow, I think that actually proves Oftgoon's point, very rarely (he didn't say 'never') happen in football.
You can't disprove his theory that these things rarely happens by mentioning a time it did.
Suarez vs Agüero will become Sanchez vs Agüero next season.

Funny how most Barcelona fans here who I do suspect have watched a bit of Sanchez suggest his best position is the AMC position not the winger and forward the least.

He's not coming here to be the support act though. He's going to be the main man in our attack for sure.
Edit: The Barca fans in the above link are making the same point as me. It's not as obvious as people make it out to be just to put him on the wing.
He's not coming here, period.
No jinxing it, ya hear me gaiz?

Because our wingers play as pure wingers and not AM. Okay.
Didn't he mostly play wide for Udinese, where he was brilliant.
Started out wide, but played up front the last season i think it was.

his best season was when he played just off the main striker

Yeah. He was poor out wide for them and absolutely brilliant when he played off Di Natale.

This sounds exactly like the Sanchez I know from his time in Italy. I share Segway's concerns.
