Seems like Wenger is really keen on "proven" talent. My first reaction was similar to Patters: we usually steer clear of headcases. But he has picked up some younger ones in the past(RVP and JAR JAR come to mind); maybe he's expanding his horizons a bit?

Couple of blog writers/followers like goonerdave66 seem quite confident. He normally doesnt post rubbish, even posted it's a done deal and quickly deleted the comment. I guess this is the time of the year that everyone looks for more hits/followers. I spend way too much time on twitter, cant see it happening in any way though.

The bid seemed too big to be from Arsenal but after the bid for Suarez was 'revealed' it may have actually been Arsenal afterall. 😆

Beginning to think we just putting bids in hoping secretly they'll be rejected in order to create a perceived change in direction within the club. May seem cynical but I don't think we'll sign a £20m+ player this window.

I don't buy that theory, because what does that get us ultimately? As soon as it's September 1st and we've dropped silly points at home to some mid table team people will start calling for Wenger's head, the Black Scarf movement will be in full force, we'll scrape 4th and Koscielny will leave for Barca or Bayern or whoever.

I don't buy that we're making fake bids either.

What I do doubt is that we are making even a fractions of the moves the papers are claiming. We're certainly in for Higuain so everyone knows we want a striker and because of that every hack and agent are just linking us to whatever striker they can.

Window has been pretty slow and disappointing all around so far. None of the big clubs up to much in the premiership and they all go on tour next week.

I get the feeling we've started working on our transfer moves way too late, probably cos Wenger, as per, doesn't really know what he wants.

Were obviously working on our transfers, but selling clubs all want to sell there stars to PSG, City and Monaco for more than there value. Only after they realize that isn't going to happen with they sell to us.

Utd have Zaha and were already comfortably ahead of everyone else
City sign Navas and Fernandinho
