Klaus, that's a dream world we'd both like to live in. Cavani went for around 30m pounds in his last transfer, so aim for that or more. That's us out.

Capi, I agree that Giroud has cost us some points with missed chances. My gripe with him is he's also cost us points because of the chances he didn't have. Someone like Jovetic who creates his own chances and brings his forwards into play would be ideal.

Does anyone know what (if anything) is happening to the rest of the Napoli clan (Lavezzi, Hamsik, etc).

Claude: I think both can be had for around £60 million or so. But no, I don't see us spending that kind of money either.

So who is going to occupy the central defenders, hold up play and do the dirty work that a centre forward has to do?

Only Barca can get away with that because they have Messi. The rest of us need a reference point.

Thats the problem though, we won't even try for any of the big 3 and even if we do they'll go to a club that has won more than us recently and pays more than we can. We all know thats the way it is, no point pretending otherwise.

Anyway if the interest in Jovetic is real, it almost certainly means Wenger fancies him to lead the line. I certainly don't see us buying another striker and playing Jovetic behind him.

We might play him behind Giroud. It would probably put either Cazorla or Wilshere outside the team though. Not sure that's a good idea either.

The odd occasion would be fine but i don't think Wenger will switch formation anytime soon.

I'm wavering, my enthusiasm for signing Jovetic is diminished.
Conerned he may be prone to being crocked - he might not be dynamic or robust enough for the PL?

The DM are carrying the story now, no source but they've added in a piece about us being determined not to meet Fiorentina's valuation, just to make it authentic.
