Cesc is definitely not a benchwarmer, he's started enough big games to disprove that.

Though I think he might have been happier with us, big fish in a small pond and all that. Here he was the star, there even if he performs at a decent level he's not any better than his counterparts.

He is obviously happier at Barcelona.

I doubt he's happier as a player, the sensation you get from being a star in the league and the main man at a club is very different from being a squad player who often sits out big games. You think he's happy sitting on the bench in a massive CL game? Hell no.

Socially I'd imagine he's happier being back in Spain.

Obviously? Why do you say that?

Because he was desperate to go back of course. Nothing strange really. He wanted to go back to his boyhood mates, be in the country and city he grew up in, and be close to his family. Yes, I think he suffers a bit being left out of important games, but all in all he is well happy he left.

"If he's the new Van Persie he'll be injured for the next 5 seasons before Arsenal sell him to a rival club."

😆

At least you don't support Tottenham.

So, this is done then! Or not. 🙁

I love how when Bayern have a rumoured "done deal", a whole country loses their shit and the clubs are forced to come out and admit it, but when it's Arsenal all you get is laughter and teeth gnashing. 😆

For me it is already done. Caughtoffside is a quality source after all.

For all the hype, is no one else bit concerned by his goal scoring record? It's just no that impressive.

Problem there is if his goal scoring record was better we wouldn't have a realistic chance of signing him.

Captain, be interested to hear your views on the quality of Jovetic and whether this deal will happen.

For the rumoured £25mill price that would kinda be the money Lewandolski would go for and almost up there with Cavani (£35mill) money. Obviously not taking into account wages here!

But he'd fall through the cracks as the big teams fall over themselves for Cavani, Falcao and Lewandowski. I'd go for it.

As for Fabregas, 35m Euros + is a massive figure. Do not be tricked by the fact that Liverpool were idiotic enough to pay more than that for a donkey.

Let's be real, we're not going to sign the likes of Lewandowski, Falcao and Cavani. The best clubs will see to that and even the players will think twice - even if we match their wage demands.

Our best hope is to find players who look like they're going to threaten to break into the big time and sign him. Even if costs us 20m-25m.

You could argue that's what we do with someone like Giroud and Gervinho, but Jovetic is of a considerably high profile imo.

We need to sign good players. My 2 cents.

Or do what Dortmund did, go scout Eastern Europe.

I don't really watch serie a, mate. In very limited viewing (like 3-4 games), I fancy him as a no.10 and definitely not at point.

You'd be better off asking dules or klaus.
