I hear Timbo enjoys a good drive through Stoke.

Stoke fans will get frustrated soon. They've gone as far as they can with their shitty style. It's stay where they are or most probably drop down. I'd hate being served up that disgraceful football week in week out.

They love it though. With their Kick and Rush t-shirts and their Swing Low Sweet Chariot, its like a stadium full of Biggi.

😆

I think they're content as long as they manage to stay in Premier League, but sooner or later they'll have a poor season and go down. There won't be much to be proud of without the top-flight status. Until then they should be grateful that clubs like Arsenal exist. We generate the money that keeps them going. No one has ever turned on a tv to watch Stoke play.

😆

I know this sounds ridiculous.

But in the Summer I was talking to a family friend who used to play football for WHU in their youth systems. I asked him which players he played against who he was most impressed by and one of them was Ryan Shawcross when he was at United. This guy is a gooner as well.

Doesn't sound ridiculous to me. He's clearly a talented player, but instead of honing his defensive skills he's been encouraged throughout his career to behave like an ogre. Pulis is to blame as much as anyone for those broken bones that Shawcross has on his conscience.

Indeed, if he'd moved elsewhere he could have been a quality defender.

Quality defender? He's not that type of player.

Wow I didn't even realise these vile cunts are the 3rd highest spender in the league

One Biggy Biggi,
Theres only one Biggy Biggi,
One Biggy Biggggggi.

I keep reading that Stoke fans are getting more and more frustrated with Pulis. He's spending loads each season to get them as boring and mid-tabley as possible. Obviously he's in no danger of the sack but he's wasted so much of the Chairman's money...

25 days later

OptaJoe @OptaJoe

48 - Stoke City have picked up 48 yellow cards for fouls this season, more than any other Premier League team. Physical.

We should take shawcross and Wilkinson off them, could be inspired like when we took bould and Dixon off them

Somehow I don't think Shawcross would gel with the rest of our players.

Yeah, that would be a problem.

Still hope they get relegated

Football is a funny old game, there are plenty of incidences of players who were disliked by the supporters of another club ending up there, Owen, Schmeichel Tevez- Silvestre!
And then theres managers- Rafa at Chelsea- wtf?? 😆

If Fat Sam or Pulis ever became Arsenal manager..............

You'd start supporting the spuds ?!!

Never! I've put up with Wenger for the past 5 years no one could have done a worse job.

2 months later

Pulis sacked.

I wouldn't make too much of it though, they do this every decade. In twelve months they'll take him back in exchange for the promise to turn more people into Isengard orcs.

I think they'll go for Graeme Souness. He ticks all the same boxes as Pulis: Loves ugly football, can't handle money, is his own grandfather, shows a remarkable lack of judgment, thinks of other people as one big inconvenience...

Rafa Benitez expressed interest...

What? really? 😆

With Pulis gone that leaves fat Sam as the longest serving EPL manager after Wenger at only two years, incredible.

It will be interesting to see if any other Premier League team takes Pulis after all the bad rep he's got during his time at Stoke.

If some other manager had achieved similar results with a different playing style, he'd definitely have a future in the Premier League. Fat Sam has always been in demand, in here, but that is because of his proven expertise in keeping lowly teams in the league, but, Pulis hasn't really proven it in more than one place.

Also, with the influx of successful smaller teams playing attractive football, it might be very long before Pulis finds a suitor. The best bet, imo, is if the Stoke team with a lot of Pulis players still there is struggling in relegation spots.

Read somewhere that Mourinho is leaving Real as the longest serving manager in La Liga. It is mental, if true!

Pellegrini has been at Malaga the same amount of time.

Would be good for us to have a friendly British club to send our fringe players to on loan without fear of them being damaged. Manu have had this advantage for years with all those ex-players becoming managers.

Probably leaving Banfield as our assistant manager. If that happens, we can just hope that he and AW have learned how to play a defence in these last few months.

Said that to my mate and he corrected me/ us - it's Pardew. But still, that's a(nother) barmy stat.

Maybe they could take Psycho, give England a chance to have someone decent handling the U21s.

You're right, forgot all about him, understandably.

I don't understand how Pardew hasn't been sacked. His team massively under performed. His transfer policy has been erratic as well. To go from 5th to relegation fodder is some achievement.

Injuries is his excuse.

Anyone seen Pulis leaving statement yet? He called us a certain team from North London
