Such a dirty player. Always makes late tackles and leaves his foot in. Did it against us time after time, and then on Ki yesterday too.

That's horrible, lucky not to break anything.

Fucking hack!

Looking for refs to wise up and start putting him on a yellow sooner.....the new (skilled) Tiote!

dirty tackle, notice he has all his weight focused on his tackling foot (and therefore ki's ankle) when he easily could've slid in. see so many more bad tackles where the guy goes flying in like a battering ram instead of sliding in from the side. that's an easy yellow for me and a borderline red - could've broken ki's ankle.

look at sol campbell for a textbook sliding tackle. remember a good one he had in his cameo for us where he got the ball cleanly and took out the man too - but in a safe way.

Borderline red? 😆

It's a five match man in any sane country.

He's a bit dirty, but he's a cracking player. Tbh, don't think he's naturally dirty, but he's trying to put himself about and get stuck in and he's not great at doing it properly.

He extends his leg well out of his natural range. That wasn't a 50-50 challenge at all and a pretty horrific stamp, much worse than what Martin Taylor did to Eduardo imo. If Ki's leg was planted that's the last you'll see of him for a year.

ki's leg was planted... he just got lucky his cleats didnt get stuck in the ground, which i guess is what you meant so nm.

He was just lucky Ramires weighs about 40 kg.

No denying it was a terrible challenge as he followed through after the ball was long gone, but tackling isn't his natural game. Chelsea use him in midfield as a tactical ploy as he is quicker at closing down than your average CM. I noticed this when we played them and he never allowed Cazorla any significant time on the ball

he's got a great engine as well, gets into good positions very often.

And fantastic pace.
