Wenger's been waiting for the market to normalise since 2005.

"Normalistion" is Wenger speak for a drop (probably of drastic proportions too).

He didn't say that. 'twas I. 😆

'Prices go up and then come down again' suggested that he isn't talking about lowered prices.

Errr prices going up then going down suggest they are reducing

It does.
Anyway I got around to reading the full quote myself and in as much as he can be clear about anything it's clear that he expects prices drop in the last week of the window.
Back to Cavani - I've lost track, where did the rumour spring from?
The Italian press are quoting the English press which to me confirms that there's no truth in it at all.
Usually the local press have more info.

Wonder what it is that we're really up to.

We're trying to re-sign Walcott silly!

Wenger said: “Napoli are playing for the championship and the Champions League in Italy. So what is the interest of Napoli to sell Cavani? None ,Unless you say, ‘Okay, we pay twice the price of what the player is worth.’

"He is also cup-tied for the Champions League on top of that - all the players who can strengthen us are cup-tied in the Champions League.

"We can spend the money that we have decided to spend, if it is for a player we think gives us a plus. I do not want to speak about Cavani because we have not made an enquiry for him"

Safe to say we can put this one to bed

It was enjoyable watching a link made up by a twitter wind-up account get this much attention.

Love the way The Mirror stick in the NO CHANCE for all the dodos out there

Although apparently Wenger was wrong about Cavani being cup tied.

He was also 90 minutes late for the presser.

Did anyone ask him if he knew his own name?

He was doing his zips
