I've noticed few managers are respected or admired in the League by us for various reasons. For example, in the General Football thread Mancini has been described as average and a joke of a manager for not handling Balotelli presumably.

So who do you rate and why? Who do you hate, who's average etc?

I rate and hate Fungus for obvious reasons and i think Mancini is below average even after all his achievements so far.
I used to rate Wenger but not anymore though i cannot hate him after all he has done for us.

This includes managers not in the top 4 as well. Just saying.

I think Laudrup has done really well.

i rate and hate fungus the red nose. i definitely rate moyes. i rate avb, hughton, martinez and i really rate what laudrup has done so far, on and off the pitch.

Fergie, Wenger, Moyes. The rest is much of a muchness.

Do like AVB.

Moyes is impressive.

Ferguson is the best manager in the leaugue.

Followed by Wenger and Moyes. Keep an eye out on Avb, Hughton and Laudrup.

Mark Hughes is the worst.

Not talking about like or hate, just rate the following managers.

Moyes, Laudrup, AVB, Pardew, Clarke, Jol, Redknapp

Jury is still out on the following but I am positive about them

Adkins, Rodgers, Hughton, Martinez, McDermott, Lambert.

And you have to hand in to Sam and Pulis for being effective for whatever they does.

How can you seriously rate Moyes and Laudrup above Wenger and Benitez and latterly Mancini? What is this madness?

At the moment he's better than Wenger. He's got a lot less resources and he's doing well with them. Laudrup is a good manager but he's cool so people tend to overrate him. He's not really doing any better than Rodgers did yet. But I like him.

Mark Hughes isn't managing at the moment.

Moyes isn't better than Wenger in any way, shape or form.

Put it this way, if both left their roles this summer, Moyes would be lucky to get the Arsenal job and certainly wouldn't be at the top of the list. Wenger would be more or less no.1 choice for Madrid, City, Chelsea, Bayern Munich and pretty much every other big club in the world.

Would you have any of those guys not named Ferguson as Arsenal Manager?

I think Moyes is one of the most overrated managers in the league, alongside Martin O Neil. Big Sam is unfortunately one of the most underrated.

Martinez has potential but needs to move to a bigger club. Chris Houghton is not a Premier League manager, doesnt have it in him, Norwich are one of contenders to go down.

Martin Jol is a poor mans Claudio Raineri. Will build you a good team but doesnt know how to win trophies.

One to look out for is Paolo Di Canio.

...on past reputation with a lot of resources compared to what Moyes has had in ten years. All the above teams you've mentioned have a lot of resources.

I don't want to make this into a bash Wenger thread. But definitely this season Everton are as good as us with arguably less talent throughout their squad.

What has Big Sam done that Moyes hasn't?

Martinez is forever flirting with relegation. Tony Pulis doesn't do that but people think he's rubbish.

I see you like aggression in your managers. You're a big Mourinho fan so I see why you like Di Canio.
