😆 I'm not going to elaborate on the fact that wenger likes to take gambles

He doesn't gamble on high wages, never has and never will. He signs players on a wage in accordance with their experience and known talent. Some flop, some stay the same and some excel.

You implied that he willy nilly throws wages around like a lunatic and nothing could be farther from the true.

I agree he doesn't gamble on high wages, far from it, I'm saying he offer squad players too much which has made the wage bill higher than it should be

The wage bill has grown significantly since we started signing the experienced players for the first team that everyone is always calling out for.

Thought our wage bill was already high when we bought Santos, Gervinho, Giroud, Cazorla, Merte, Arteta, etc.

Removing diaby gervinho squillaci santos chamakh, all gambles, on wages in the 60k range will allow us to increase the wage cap and in turn allow us to sign players of more quality and give more market power

It rose something stupid like 30m in two years, which coincided with those signings (plus also the new executive appointments).

The wages are screwed but Gazidis has consistently stated that they are restructuring and Wenger's comments last week said, to me at least, that they are actively waiting for certain deals to expire (or be offloaded if you like) before looking to redistribute the wages, rather than increase the budget unless it is for a big exception.

Maybe so, but we know that as a transfer strategy clearing out before buying in leads to some very hit and miss last ditch dealing.

We bought rvps replacement in before selling him

When do these guys' contracts run out?

Replacements.
As I remember it the thinking was that we'd replace his goals, seeing as we couldn't "afford" to replace his excellence with just the one purchase, at the time most seemed cool with that.
I was even persuaded for a few weeks that it might possibly work.
Pity we forgot to replace his creativity and then sold Song without warning or replacement.

Talking of rvp. Is his out stating his efforts last season?

Three 'most creative' players last season statistically, 1) Perse 2) Rambo 3) Song; all removed from the starting line up.

Still, I would pay massive money for a box-to-box midfielder of quality and a no.10 or striker.

Surely Yaya Toure cannot be the only player of his type in the world

I reckon he's quite a rare player. Certainly for top quality.

Fellaini?

All those players are not quite what i mean although i would take Fellaini in a heartbeat

Vidal is a box to box midfielder like Yaya. Maybe the best box to box midfielder in the world right now.

Really. Cannot comment as i haven't watched Juve properly, but that's some praise!
