Maybe not as important as a couple of years ago but he was still one of their most important players. I thought Everton only sold to us because they were/are in some financial trouble. Surprised no-one has gone in for Baines - he was the other main prize. That no bigger club has gone in for Fellaini is no surprise. He's a Dempsey type - you need to give him the very nice no.10 role and all the freedom that goes with it. No big club will build a team around him.

It's a different case with Fellaini, mainly because he is their record signing at £15m all them years ago

Barca aren't in a position where they need to sell. Last season part of the reason they weren't able to compete with R.Madrid was down to injuries to their defenders and lack of options up top. They bought Alba and Song to rectify defence issues & up top they were relying on Villa to return and Sanchez & Pedro to regain form. The latter two haven't hit their top form again and even though Villa hasn't either he is more reliable than those two for goals so it would be madness for them to let him go.

It would be a good signing if the price is right but I just can not see it happening. Again we leave things to the end so the big clubs & those who don't need the money are more likely to tell us to go fuck off because they won't have time to sign replacements. A point which seems to be lost on our management.

We ain't signing anyone mate, I've been resigned to that fact for weeks. The manager and board are so fucking stubborn it is unreal, the more the fans push them to make signings the more stronger their conviction seems to grow that they will not sign anyone.

Apparently Moussa Sissoko went to Olympique de Newcastle for as little as 1.8 million pounds. He's overrated by a lot of people on here, but he's better than Diaby, and that's an outrageously good value price.
