Watched the Girl with a Dragon Tattoo film at the cinema this week too. Thought it was quite well made, but having read the book the main story was just boring. Also, and I should definitely have realised this, worst date movie ever. 😆

Just watched Ides of March. Lurved it!
Compelling story, wonderful acting from 5 actors I like - Clooney, PSH, Giamatti, Gosling and Wright. Puts your right in the politics with various players maneuvering, bluffing and defending against each other.

Yeah it's a good film eh? The thing I liked about it was the unexpected and sudden turns the plot took. Plenty of interest. The last half hour was a fraction weak.

Liking the look of Carnage- trying to catch that in the next week, but might be difficult. Also Man on the Ledge looks like it might be quite fun.

Watched A Separation just now. Brilliant exposition of how personal conflicts can be escalated by social forces. Pretty interesting look into Iranian society and civil institutions too. 8.5/10

I saw MI4 the other day and I was pleasantly surprised. I liked the first two, but the last one was poor. This one had humour, good action, suspense, beautiful people, fast paced stuff. Watched it on a massive screen and got almost dizzy from the shots outside the Burj.

Also saw Rise of the planet of the apes the other day. Was ok, but I was terrified of the chimps all the way through, even the baby chimp. Almost made it too suspenseful for my taste.

Tabloid is out on dvd now too, apparently. Great documentary about a crazy woman in a crazy situation.
