Heh, I quite like Michael McIntyre.

Need to spend more time on Seinfeld, always found him quite funny, but never quite understood all the fuss. Will get on that...

Watched Incendies, thought it was decent. The acting was really good but thought the reviews overrated it a bit.

Watched the Descendants and the Artist last night. Both good films, Descendants is just a well made, well acted Fox Searchlight filmpretty much what you'd expect. The Artist was good, a nice little novelty.

Havent seen it yet. Do you think Clooney deserved the Golden Globe?

Clooney is really good in it. Its not the sort of performance that'll stand the test of time but given the lack of great films or performances this year he's the best from the short list that I've seen. I haven't seen Shame or J. Edgar.

McIntyre is annoying, granted. But not the worst out there. Dara O'Briain is the funniest stand up right now.

Yep, agree on those two. May be going to see Stewart Lee again in March. Rich Hall probably tops the list for me just now though.

Watched Buried yesterday. Took a while to get into it, but it was pretty good bearing in mind it was just Ryan Reynolds and, briefly, a snake.

I'm behind the times with most films, so bear with me...
This film has stayed with me, and I will probably watch it again...
All I can think about is that the real life evil portrayed here is balanced out and outweighed by the purity of love.
Great film.
Have you seen any of Campanella's other film? I may add a couple to my wish list.

no worries mags.. its 3 pages back.. general consensus is that its a brilliant movie.. never seen anything else from the director, but i can see why this movie won best foreign film at the oscars

Yes, The Secret in their Eyes has become an all time favorite.

Now it's playing catch up as usual...

Margin Call with Kevin Spacey, Paul Bettany, etc. Thoroughly enjoyed this one. Spacey's performance highlights the film...

A Single Man with Colin Firth. Mixed feelings about this one...Nice visuals of the California 60s', fine acting job by Firth, the cameo role from the Spanish speaking actor was brilliant. A world outside of my life experience, probably why I watched it, didn't like the ending and a certain plastic feel to the whole thing.

Brick. I'll keep it short and simple. Not for me. Generational thing, maybe, maybe not.

Beginners. Fine group of actors, a film where all the characters are likeable! It even has a talking dog! Liked this film very much. Taking risks in life. Well done.

Read the book at least a half dozen times...
Saw the TV adaption with Alec Guinness...
As I walked into the theater I made up mind to not critique the film too harshly...
As I walked out of the theater, I wondered how did the movie get so many good reviews...
Sorry, film was a bore, tedious...very disappointing, no character development, major story changes...
This was one where I say it's better to stick to the book.
