Yes, there are quite a few moments like that in it. In the same scene he does an epic "crow's nest" leap in slow-mo while on top of a moving truck. Speaking of John Woo there are quite a few random flights of crows at the camera in the film. It feels extremely 90s.
Sometimes the fights descend into cheese. The early scene where Neo fights dozens of Agent Smith copies gets very silly for example. But others are rather elegant.
I knew from having seen it twenty years ago that I should simply tune out and pay zero attention during the cultish, Campbellian "Oracle" and "Architect" scenes so that was helpful.
I would never say it was good, but … it could hold its own fairly well against franchises like FAST and MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE.
