Good Boys - Better than expected. Went to see it because there wasn't anything interesting showing, but I laughed quite a lot and it had more heart than I predicted from the trailer.
Brawl in Cell Block 99 - I've avoided this for a long time because I have a thing against prison movies. I finally watched it because the director also made Bone Tomahawk and I was bored as fuck. Very impressed. It's like a homage to old B movies I guess, and even though the first half hour was slow it got really entertaining after that. Never realized how absolutely massive Vince Vaughn is until he stood head-to-head with Chayton from Banshee and fucking dwarfed him. 😆 Anyway, cool fight scenes if you like over-the-top violence and Vaughn is good in it.
Godzilla II - I've read that all the characters are boring and that the movie has too much of monster fighting, and I thought "monsters fighting is what I come for". Well, the action is incredibly uninspired. While the first one has a lack of action scenes, this one has too much of boring ones.
Detective Pikachu - Funny enough for the Pokemon generation. Nothing special, but Ryan Reynolds as Pikachu proved to be a winner.
Dazed and Confused - Watched it on the plane. I found it very enjoyable, but I'm not quite sure why. Although it's a comedy I barely laughed, but I guess there's something to be said for the charming 70s setting and seeing young McConaughey play a character too old for what he's doing.
Your Name - Possibly the most beautiful animation I've seen. The score is also very good, but avoid the English dub. I quite liked the plot as well, and it went in some directions I didn't expect.
