Yeah, Caché is a beautifully balanced, dramatic and mysterious film. It's still high concept, but with less gimmickry than some of Haneke's other works.
Anchored by the perfect "Daniel Auteuil doing what Daniel Auteuil does" performance.
I do think it can be sensible bracketed with The Hunt, because of the sense of menace lurking beneath the veneer of social formations, because of the family elements, and because of the development and the ending.
