I didn't feel so strongly about it, I don't care about the comics for one thing.
Just thought it was pretty weak sauce to pile in all that metafiction, chronological shifting, dramatic irony, and fourth wall play and still produce such a traditional, banal bad boy meets whore with a heart of gold who kicks ass on the side, endures suffering, rescues girl, becomes hero storyline, with all the algorithmically calculated "beats" …
It was a nothing, a real one star made for TV experience just as worthwhile as an episode of How I Met Your Mother.
