She's perfect (also married apparently).
And Don - Blade Runner's on iplayer this week if you've got the time.

That's true actually and that's what reminded me that I still had it downloaded but hadn't watched it.
Been meaning to watch Blade Runner since July- Jo doesn't want to and I can't get two hours away from her, she is the Cheik Tiote of girlfriends. Or life partners.
This week I have watched, and loved, Chinatown and The Omen. Also watched the Omen 2 last night, enjoyable but nowhere near as good as the first one. Still got Rosemary's Baby and (you've guessed it) the Omen 3 to watch.
And Don- Taxi Driver's superior to about 98% of films ever made, in my opinion!
Rosemary's Baby is class - apart from one fatal flaw.
Blade Runner should blow your mind, as it is brilliant. If it wasn't such a cliché to call it your favourite film, I think I might. Lots of quotable lines anyway: "If only you could see ... what I've seen ... with your eyes".

Yeah, it's definitely a good one. Especially like the opening montage.
Chinatown is a good one as well but I kind of felt the romance was superfluous to the rest of the film and therefore detracted from the plot. Great turn by Nicholson though (as ever).
Maybe. But then our hero would never have discovered what he did without it, so who knows? Just watched Magnolia for the first time in ages. Absolutely love this film, Julianne Moore, Phil Seymour- Hoffman, John C Reilly and, yes, Tom Cruise. All superb.

Fantastic film. I thought John C Reilly in particular was outstanding.
Magnolia was obviously good but I don't think I 'got it'. Was there any reason behind the raining frogs?
BW - What was wrong with Rosemary's baby?
Gael, I probably haven't seen the film in about 4 or 5 years, but here's the Wikipedia entry about the raining frogs bit.
Oh, I just thought the end was shit.
Have seen Legion (3/10) and The Social Network (7/10) lately. The latter had plenty of promise but as true stories go it just wasn't quite interesting enough. Legion on the other hand is basically just shit.
I thought The Social Network was great personally. The time flew by.
I probably should've caught it at the cinema. Downloaded a pirate copy and kept getting distracted by refreshing Facebook while watching it
Watching The Social Network tonight. Tried watching it after coming in from the pub the other night but it was more a time for short comedies than films so only watched a couple of minutes.
The other day Jr persuaded me to watch The Gladiator - that's a couple of hours I'll never get back. What an absolute crock.
Someone else who didn't like Gladiator: I thought I was alone! Great cinematic experience, beautifully shot but the plot drags terribly and is essentially quite dull (fight, fight fight...snore).
Funnily enough, I'm 2/3 of the way through watching another Ridley Scott film (Blade Runner). Will finish it off tonight and unlike the aforementioned disappointment, this has a far more intriguing plot whilst maintaining its stunning visual experience.

Probably my favourite film, in any of it's cuts. Brilliant book (Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep) as well, which the director's cut is closest to.
Was going to mention a specific scene for a sec but thought better of it as you probably haven't got that far but it includes the line 'I've seen things you people wouldn't believe'. Amazingly powerful.

:o
This place needs a stronger shocked smiley.

Heh, thanks for not spoiling it!
I'm actually watching the director's/final cut. Funny that I've actually heard so many people say it's their favourite film over the past few months.
@ Pep
You don't agree?
I don't like Blade runner; one of those 'classics' that I just find rather boring. Not as much as Godfather which is a god awful trilogy of films in my opinion.

That's all.
Ahem...
