It's alright. Ended up being a bit too light - nothing in detail about him as a footballer, and nothing in detail about how he thinks off the pitch, despite taking up 90 mins. Guess that relies on him being able to coherently express his thoughts though. In contrast, the 30 mins Sky Sports doc on Tony Adams was more engaging (not just to Arsenal fans).
The Amy Winehouse documentary is supposed to be exceptional. Looking forward to seeing it but I expect it'll be tough to watch.

Yeah, its simply worth a watch for some of the amusing stories. Nothing earth shattering, i agree.
Decided to stop watching new movies for a bit and revisit the ones i had given a high rating, but only saw them once. Decided to see 'Atonement' tonight. My god what a breathtaking movie it is. The cinematography is fantastic, every scene is so well crafted and feels like the director was really trying to recreate the moments with every detail described in the book. Sound editing was also spot on, adding to each and every scene. And the long take ... i remembered being impressed by it the first time, but it absolutely blew me away. Beautiful movie.
I concur.
Strange. I watched Atonement (with my girlfriend, who loves it) for the first time on Friday. Agree—beautiful film. Moving ending as well.
'Literary fiction' can be a bit shit, but they really should make films of more of it.
Watched Selma last night. Great movie and felt extra poignant after this week's events. Also watched "What we did on our holiday" with the family. Nothing particularly original in the story but it was a very enjoyable film. The two youngest kids were really good in it.
Zodiac must be one of the most rewatchable movies ever. It's the third time through it for me and its just as intense.
I watched "faster" tonight, very silly movie but quite fun.
Didn't know Kung Fury was released months ago, that was awesome. 😆
Saw Chappie...it was crappy
I watched Hot Tub Time Machine 2 last night. I quite enjoyed it.

i didnt think it was crappy.. lol.. it wasnt "quite" as good as i was hoping, but was an entertaining enough watch.. it did go in a direction i wasnt quite expecting before watching it... i would have given it a solid 7
You're a far more forgiving man than myself USArsenal, the only thing I kept thinking was how hard up are both Hugh 'Wolverine' Jackman and Susan Sarandon to star in a movie like this 🙂
Chappie was horrible. Only thing that made me stay in the salon was the fact that I had wasted Imax tickets on that crap. It was just too expensive to walk out on.
Well, luckily for me, I got to watch it for free.. lol.. hey, the movie was a bit far fetched, but i like Dev Patel and i like Sharlto Copley.. That said, it was a very typical Blomkamp movie about social issues..

you mean Sigourney Weaver? Sarandon was not in it

It seems like he just tries to replicate District 9, which was great. Elysium and Chappie, sadly, aren't.
Yeah, I dunno. I can understand and even appreciate the hamfistedness, but I hate it when movies pretend they're smart when they're obviously not. That was the problem with Elysium for me too. Blomkamp is just not a clever guy. The fact that he still manages to misunderstand how consciousness and cloning works, after spending half a movie trying to navigate between the biological and moral issues, just makes my brain tired.
Watched Mad Max last night. Well worth the hype, excellent movie.
