Considering this is the film thread I think you may be onto something.
You only here for the lulz, Lulz?
Watched Edge of Tomorrow.
Decent idea but last half an hour dragged though by being quite predictable - I feel there was much more potential behind the concept but they decided to go the summer blockbuster route.
I quite liked edge of tomorrow.
saw jurassic world in imax. pure bantz. couldve been legendary if theydve thrown goldblum into the mix to ham things up alongside donofrio. 7/10
Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. Enjoyable flick, but not quite one of the best movies of the 00's as I've heard many people say. Still the best romance movie I can remember seeing.
Jurassic World: the 1990s kill the 2010s because modern people are horrible and don't care about families.
Definitely needed Goldblum.
'Edge of Tomorrow' was one of the best movies of last year, although i agree that it ran out of steam in the final act.

Goldblum didn't save Jurassic Park: The Lost World.
No one could save a movie with this scene:

having his character play an embittered leading man was a mistake
Life finds a way
Selma is the best movie I have seen in a long, long time. Certainly going to watch it again, but with the kids this time. They need to see it too.
Selma was excellent.... Far From the Madding Crowd ditto! beautiful romantic charmer.... Spy is a hoot....Belly laughs, vulgar, f*ck you at least 500 times....Melissa and Statham are hilarious....
Watched Jurassic World. So much fun. Filled with stereotypical characters but at least the writers and directors didn't bother trying to make the people front and centre. In any case, none of the humans were worth caring about. It's all about the critters. Well-paced.

The Gazza doc has some amusing stories in it. Worth a look.
Just checked my ratings for movies released in 2014, here's a top 10.
Nightcrawler Kingsman: The Secret Service Interstellar Gone Girl Whiplash Edge of Tomorrow Captain America: The Winter Soldier Birdman The Raid 2 Boyhood
In that order? I've only seen half of them but I think I'd rate them as follows:
Hmm, almost. Now that i think of it, Interstellar is probably lower, at around 7th-8th. Other than that its a pretty much correct order. Nightcrawler the only film i gave 9/10 rating, rest are 8/10, 7/10.
Must get around to watching Nightcrawler and Kingsmen.
