We fit right into those categories. Wife was tired and fell asleep due to slow pace, and I loved it.
Pitt, Gandolfini, Liotta - Killing them Softly. Got to see that.
Sounds pretty good actually.
Saw Beasts of the Southern Wild yesterday. It's very good, and very affecting. Left me feeling gutted though. Lead performance is from a 5 year old, and it's incredible.
Saw The Imposter yesterday. That's some crazy shit.

Wasn't it? It did remind me of Frank Skinner's "in America" gag in places.
Lawless was very good. Funnier than expected and Guy Pearce was something else.
Dredd is awesome
anyone see the damned united? i'm not sure how far they went in taking liberties with the dramatic elements, but it was pretty entertaining. liked the way they spliced in actual footage as well. prob my 2nd fave footie film now, after fever pitch.
Goal! shits on both of those mate. Yes it's very cheesy but the soundtrack makes up for it.
Damned United is a fantastic film from every stand point. Goal! was a glossy waste of time - the highlight was looking out for the likes of Shearer, Zidane and Raul.
Damned United is great. Sheen as Clough is like Christ, Faust and the devil rolled into one. Very fun film.
Really looking forward to Looper, reviews look good as well. Heard Shane Carruth (Primer) had some input in the movie.
I didn't realise until just now that it was directed by the 'Brick' guy (Rian Johnson). Bodes extremely well—that's a great movie with great replayability.
Anyone seen The Master? Hearing really good things about it.

sheen was great. when he goes to leeds, that's sort of how i imagine it went for villas-boas at chelsea.
Damned United is excellent. I imagine much of the behind the scenes stuff is dramatised and exaggerated but we'll never really know as the main people are all dead.
I liked the Damned United. Much funnier than the book was.
Not that the book was supposed to be a comedy, of course.
I saw Killing Them Softly at the weekend, I would say it's up there as one of the best films I've seen this year. Beautifully shot.
Interesting that he describes it as "the ultimate nerd fantasy". The 'odd' thing about The Avengers, and most of the Marvel superhero films really, is that they're not made for the nerds. Rather, they're made for and by people who don't read comics and aren't clued in on mythology and character development. If anything these are films made for jocks (if we were to extend the generalisation).
Like how Call of Duty is for "core" gamers, but actually is as casual as you can get.
Shit, I didn't see Thanos in the credits. 😆
