I just watched Aliens again.
Get away from her you BITCH!
Love that film.

... although it was quite distracting to find myself constantly thinking that Lt Gorman is the spitting of Michael Schumacher. It's uncanny.
finally saw Iron Man 2 tonight.. big letdown after the first one..

Aliens is, in my opinion, if not the best action film ever, then certainly in the top two. And I don't know what the other one would be.
It's got it all.
Anyone seen the film, 'Somewhere', directed by Sofia Coppola.
I saw it in an independent cinema and I thought it didn't say that much but I was interested all the way through.

I thought Inception was pretty disappointing. Shutter Island was a much better performance from DiCaprio and a better movie on the whole as well in my opinion. Loved the color scales in it.
The Fantastic Mr Fox was probably the best movie I saw this year, but depending on how you look at it it might be counted as a 2009 release. 13 Assassins, Armadillo and Scott Pilgrim were great as well. Ghost Writer was quality. I liked Winter's Bone a lot too. And Bodyguards & Assassins, but, again, it might be counted as a 2009 release. The Other Guys was hilarious. What else... oh yeah, Greenberg. Haven't been able to say a bad word about Noah Baumbach since he co-wrote Life Aquatic and, thankfully, I haven't felt the need to either.

Die Hard and Aliens.
I really enjoyed The Fantastic Mr Fox - great soundtrack too.

Ha, we watched Die Hard on Christmas Eve. Great film, love that scene when McLane and Gruber first meet. Rickman's a great actor. I could for that and Aliens as a 1-2.

My favourite piece of dialogue was when they're explaining the rules of Whackbat:
Coach Skip: "Basically, there are three grabbers, three taggers, five twig runners, and a player at Whackbat. Center tagger lights a pine cone and chucks it over the basket and the whack-batter tries to hit the cedar stick off the cross rock. Then the twig runners dash back and forth until the pine cone burns out and the umpire calls hotbox. Finally, you count up however many score-downs it adds up to and divide that by nine."
Kristofferson: "Got it."
Speaking of the soundtrack, by the way - I've had "Bean's Secret Cider Cellar" as a ringtune on my phone for the past six months:
"Just Another Dead Rat in a Garbage Pail (behind a Chinese Restaurant)" is great tune too.
The Rat had a small but memorable part
The rat was great! Apparently he was voiced by the Daimler. You'd never guess just by listening to him.
"Y'all are trespassin' now. Illegally."

Great shout, I always try and watch it before Christmas.
Agree with everything said about Fantastic Mr Fox. Loved it.

No, wouldn't have guessed it was him at all.
Love the possum as well
Saw Pulp Fiction for the first time today.
Just fantastic.
saw "devil" the other day. meh, decentish but nothing spectacular.
went to see tron a couple of weeks ago. very meh, but cool music.
agree about Devil.. was decent, but not outstanding.. i do have to say, however, that i called the devil about half way through the movie..
watched Robin Hood, Last Airbender and How to Train Your Dragon today.. surprisingly, HTTYD was the best of the 3.. Robin Hood second and Airbender 3rd..
Watched Tron tonight in 3D - was ok, pretty much what I was expecting, though as Kel says, the Daft Punk soundtrack was pretty cool.

Kicking and Screaming is one of my favourite films.
