Up until 12 months ago Villa was probably in the top 7-8 best players in the world. I'd go above and beyond to get him in.

I reckon we'll get him, but not so sure it will definitely be in January though.

I agree with Asa that we can get at least another 3 good seasons out of him, which should give Giroud enough time to figure out how to shoot with his feet. A straight £16m probably does seem a little steep, but I think he's worth it.

Just seen the video of his goals this season. Didn't realise he is still this good.

Though it would be a big shock for him to suddenly have Gervinho Podolski Ramsey supplying him rather than Messi Iniesta Xavi

Don't think Podolski deserves to be lumped in with the other two. He's not perfect, but he's a class above both of them at present.

He is very one footed alright, screwed up some excellent chances this season when they've fallen to his right

I'm willing to give Podi more time to adapt, he's inconsistent but he's proved to be productive at the very least.
