Nobody rotates three players in one position.
Villa can play anywhere across the front 3 and he could play where Cazorla plays.
He's class but you don't spend £16 million on a 31 year old player who's just had a leg break. It's asking for trouble.
There is no way on earth Wenger would pay 16m for Villa. Just will not happen if that's really the asking price
There's an even more basic issue with this. There is no way on earth Wenger would buy a 31 year old to go straight into the team unless they're goalkeepers. It's something he has never done AFAIK. We know how averse the club is to keeping ageing players. Even though Villa easily has the quality to make a good impact, he's not a Wenger signing now. No point even considering it.
I'd love to see David Villa in an Arsenal shirt. Even as he is now.

Seconded. Don't care how much money we spend. We haven't spent enough over the years.
Arselona eh.......
i like villa, but agree with klaus. 16m is steep for a 31yr old coming off a leg break.
I know we won't pay it but I can't imagine any of the free spending clubs buying him for that either. Think Barca might end up having to revise that price
This won't happen. Though pleasing looks like we might sign defensive reinforcement
All his goals from this season.
Doesn't look like age and his leg break have caught up with him just yet. Even for 16m, I think he'd be a fantastic signing.
They are not so desperate to keep him as he hasnt come from their youth academy.
Well it would make sense to get the half crocked over the hill Barceloniac in, we're already a pathetic grotesque ape like imitation of them.
Villa's not really what I'd consider a true Barceloniac though.
I reckon Villa's movement & finishing will mean we'll get at least 3 more quality years out of him. Well worth the £8-10m I think he'll end up coming for.
You think he'll sign asa?
I give this 10% chance at best
Do think he'd like to try his hand in the prem though
For whatever reason, I think he really wants to come, and has for a while.
Being mates with Cazorla probably helps.
I reckon 60%

But surely he'll become our Michael Owen Asa, or indeed our Rosicky, his legs will fall off after 10 minutes of PL football.
