The Sun saying he's ours this summer. Will only have a year left so will be in our price range.
Sounds plausible. Apparently Villa has been told that he needs to play regularly to stay in the Spain side. Don't see him going to City with that in mind. He'd just make up the numbers there.
If we sign Villa, we only need one more top class signing, someone like Isco to help us challenge for trophies.
I'd rather we sign someone long term though, Cavani/Jovetic/Falcao although those are just pipe dreams unless we replace Wenger

(it most most likely won't) Not at all, I think it'd be an interesting experiment, I just doubt he's going to be what we need and think we should be using our money on someone younger with more to prove.

Our whole squad has a lot to prove. And i think there's an inferiority complex among them. If he's still good Villa is just what we need.

Cavani and Falcao are pipe dreams regardless. If those players players ever become available you'll see an Eden Hazard style bidding war.
Definitely an inferiority complex. We've been beaten before kick off in some big games this season. Lack of leadership too.

I reckon if you see someone like Mourinho managing us, or Klopp they will be interested in their projects

I don't think Wenger's a deterrent per say, it's the lack of ambition at the club as a whole. Even when Wenger leaves, there's no chance Mourinho will even be considered for the job.
Yes, you'd have to reckon that Kroenke will scout for a manager who will work within the same parameters as Wenger
And Mourinho won't be even slightly interested in the way we do things around here, the last three clubs he's worked for have been run by owners who've genuinely wanted success and prepared to do everything in their power to achieve it.
Haha, it's as if you're implying that our board don't or something.

Fair point. I can't wait for Wenger to leave, sounds abit cruel to say but we need someone to genuinely bring us forward.
I am afraid of who the board may appoint though, think it will be very underwhelming

But he won't find anyone like Wenger because there isn't anyone, the club will be dragged so low by his successor/s that Kroenke will be forced out and then we can start the long rebuild, Wenger is the lynchpin holding this rotten regime together thats why it's crucial he goes.

That'll take fucking ages!
Or maybe they realise that Wenger's uniqueness means that they will have to shift strategy when they replace him?

I'm patient I've waited 8 years.

Well Y Kroenke is only here for the money so whether he sells tickets for 62 quid or guns and ammo at Wal-Mart is all the same to him, so I don't think he'll suddenly realise- Fuck me! we're supposed to be a top football club charging premium prices- we'd better start winning something!
Securing his deal ala Podolski would be wise. Would mean it gives Giroud a 6 month window to really prove himself and the players would not rest on their laurrels knowing that a world class striker is going to take their place if they dont step the fuck up.
Usually I am against signing strikers above 30 but Villa is exceptional and would have our best team since we beat Barca themselves in 2011.

I guess. He is a scourge on this club for as long as he's hatching his investment.
I would rather get Campbell in than Villa.
