In a normal draw, you should be able to have 3 game combos: AB/CD, AC/BD, AD/BC
However, assume that team A and team B are from the same country, and C and D also share nationality. No you can have only the following: AC/BD, AD/BC
You've eliminated a combo pair. The silly rules that prevent teams from same group and country drawing each other leads to restricted options. This coincidence is far more likely than, say, the end of the world happening today. Remember 4 Spanish teams could not face each other. Those 4 Spanish teams then could not face the teams they played in Round 1. Already, your options are diminishing quickly.
