United will finish in the top 4. Fellaini is a better player than Flamini, but yeah, 28m is a ridiculous fee for a player like that. He was far from their first option though, panic buy.

Fellaini is a different sort of player to Flamini, not sure I'd want him doing the same job here.

Have you seen Fellaini play this season, he's been nothing short of shit for Manure. He make Tom Huddlestone seems like speedboat

I've seen Fellaini play for more than just this season, same as Flamini.

Fellaini is defo a much better player than Flamini.

but Fellaini does not suit Manure playing style of a fast tempo, that's one of the main reason why I didn't want him at Arsenal. He probably be good at Chelsea and maybe Liverpool but not for us or Manure.

Oh now you're comparing different players in different teams except one cost 28M more and is certainly on higher wages.
Sounds like we got a bargain.

As a defensive mid I would probably take Flamini over Fellaini.

Well my friends since Chairman Burnsy keeps deleting my posts elsewhere expressing dislike of all things Man Utd, presumably because it offends younger "football" fans who now seem to populate here, we'll just have to skulk around in dark corners of threads such as this.

So what d'ya think of Man United goals?
Who's better Van Persie or Rooney or maybe you have high hopes for Januzaj.

I don't have to apologise for hating Man Utd here, and its not me that has to justify defending praise of them.
I'll sleep very well tonight.

Appreciating a spectacular goal, which happens to be scored by a rival team, makes you a closet united or spurs fan? :hmm:

Ok, enjoy your blind hatred, and senseless one-upping trying to be the "best" Arsenal fan.

Give it a break guys … and Biggus, no one's trying to stop you hating United, just stop you trying to stop anyone else appreciating the basic physics of football.

Maybe I'm old fashioned but I shouldn't have to convince Arsenal fans to hate Man Utd it should be in their blood....
I don't watch games to politely appreciate the basic physics of football- I watch it to see my team win.

I agree it was a bargain. If you recall, before a ball was kicked by Scotty, I was one of the few who thought that Flamini was a very good, but underwhelming signing. I pointed out he had an excellent end to his Milan career.

I would too, Tim. I said Fellaini is a better player because he can do more than being a defensive mid. Given time, which I am not sure he will get at Man U, I think he can blossom into a terrific defensive mid too. You have to remember that he has rarely played that role for a couple of years.

He'd have been a good/decent addition to a strong, confident United. But in the current environment, he looks a bit of a joke. Can tell he's playing with zero confidence.

I think I was in favour of signing him when we were linked, because Ramsey wasn't quite ready to be a first eleven player. What was I thinking?

I totally disagree he will never blossom into a good DM, his reading of the game is awful and he can't sense danger or track runners. He reminded me so much of Alex Song.

Your English is really coming along mate.

😆

i'm not so sure about the idea of Fellaini blossoming into a great defensive mid. i was watching their game against Southampton this week. one of the Southampton mids went past Fellaini like he wasn't there and that left Rio et al completely exposed. Fellaini was standing in front of him, but instead of meeting him full-on or putting in a foot or elbow, he rotated his body to give the opponent a free path. was very mediocre defense.

Fellaini is an attacking midfielder. not a defensive one. United are in for a lot of hurt if they think they can put him in midfield to bomb from deep or sit like Arteta.

Fellaini started the season well for Everton as a normal CM, passing the ball short and simple and doing well defensively. It's all about the manager he plays for.

same manager he's played for since he came to England.

Ferguson on Lampard: "Lampard, for me, was a marvellous servant for Chelsea, but I didn’t think of him as an elite international footballer"

Fergie says now friendly with Wenger but in early days 'he [AW] would fix in his mind idea that no-one should actually be tackling his boys'

Fergie on Wenger: 'When you acquire [Nasri, Arshavin, Rosicky] they are almost clones. The team he inherited gave him a start in England'

Keane fuming at Fergie on ITV 😆

Said Fergie doesn't know the meaning of Loyalty.

wrighty and dixon were laughing during that segment apparently. legends

😆 And Keane does, walking out on his country during the world cup?

Fergie was also told what he thought of Mark Bosnich

"Mark Bosnich was a terrible professional,"

"We played down at Wimbledon and Bosnich was tucking into everything: sandwiches, soups, steaks. He was going through the menu.

"I told him, `For Christ's sake, Mark, we've got the weight off you. Why are you tucking into all that stuff?'

"We arrived back in Manchester, and Mark was on mobile phone to a Chinese restaurant to order a takeaway.

"Is there no end to you?

😆 Aussies will find this especially funny as Bosnich (who tbf is a good pundit) is forever lauding Fergie, even calling for him to be appointed coach of Australia for the world cup.

Poor Bozza probably just had the drug induced munchies.

😆 Bosnich isn't a bad pundit but fuck knows what he was thinking suggesting Ferguson as Australian coach for the WC, that was pure nonsense and he knew it.

Seems its all fairly petty from Fergie. Par for the course with him.

The bitterly funny thing for me is the contradiction between his insistence that "no one is bigger than the club" and "at a club, no one is more important than the manager".

What comes out in the wash is that he obviously thinks he's bigger than Manchester United. Absolute prick, and it sounds like this book is just a rampage of bad taste and zero class.
