Honestly, possession in this game rarely gets you anything. You at least have to dig out corners or get a lot of crosses in. Headers, as you say, are very overpowered in the game.
Luka, if you feel you concede on too many crosses, then I suggest you use the tips in the vid above. I use that system and very rarely concede that way anymore. Takes a bit of practise, mind!
