I have no idea where you blokes find the time to play games like Skyrim. I'm hard pressed just wading through the 10 hours playing time of the Naughty Dog type cinematic games when one comes along.
I put FIFA on the shelf and sleep less.

Oblivion is pretty great but has a lot more flaws than Skyrim. Well worth picking up cheap though.
Or try Fallout 3 and Fallout New Vegas if you haven't played them.
Morrowind is by far the best of the series for me. Not as polished but a better story and a better feel to it.
I've never went back to any of the older non-console versions.
They were selling the entire series a few months ago very cheap. I was pretty tempted.
Played both Fallout 3 and Vegas. Loved them.
Is anyone playing FM14? Its driving me nuts. I can't get a defence to work properly and no matter how many one on ones I create for my CF they rarely finish them.
Played it quite a bit before mid December, had to stop so I could study.
I'd suggest checking out the si games tactics forum, great stuff on there.
defence is fine for me, striker can definitely be frustrating though.
What's your starting XI and tactic?
I've been trying to tweak a a 4-2-3-1. Last yeah I had great success playing like that but with 2 AMs and a right winger. Just suited our squad. This year even with wide players and a more defensively minded midfield I'm still leaking goals. Our squad as is plus Vela, Romero, Rever, Benteke and some young uns.
what games are good for PC? i've been out of the gaming loop for several yrs now.
i'm generally not into RPGs or anything with wizards or whatever. used to love simcity way back in the day, but i heard the latest release is a disaster. fifa 14 for PC hasnt been upgraded to the latest game engine used in the xbox and ps versions, so i might hold off on that.
I am looking to get into Red Dead Redemption at some point, and that has to be available for PC too. I'd also check out Fallout 3 and Fallout New Vegas. Two of my fave games, and totally wizard free. 🙂
Sim City is indeed a disaster. I bought it, and I regret it everytime I'm looking at my Desktop and spot the Icon.
Just realized that all 3 games I recommended are RPGs. Never mind me...
Must say, I didn't enjoy Fallout New Vegas as much as I did Fallout 3. The setup was similar, but it felt a bit like.....been there done that. If you haven't played both games so far, that doesn't matter, though.

Red Dead Redemption is probably the best console game I've ever played. Fantastic open world that feels real and a cool story. Shame for PC players they never got to try it.
Red Dead was tons of fun. GTA 5 would've been better if they'd just ripped off the deadeye system.
rex, i'll check those out, thanks
Try Brothers: a tale of two sons, Kami. You can get it for around a tenner on Steam, so no big loss if you don't like it.
Red Dead is never coming to PC.
hardly any games i look forward to these days. witcher 3 will be good. dragon age 3 might be good.
