I'm a fair way into Last of Us now, still enjoying it. About half way through I think, playing an hour or two here and there.
Things which are quite good: the vision, level design, characters and dialogue. The pickup system and crafting items.
Things which are not so good: the action set pieces aren't up to the standard of Uncharted 2 so far. The plank and ladder puzzles are too simple. The weapons and skill upgrades are boring and could be removed.
I think they could've worked a bit harder on the stealth and combat systems, and introduced a few extra quirks in the mechanics. I'd like to be able to (and need to) drag guys behind walls as I strangle them and that kind of thing, or set up more elaborate traps.
Maybe I should play on a harder difficulty level as now I've sussed out most things "NORMAL" is a bit easy. Could be about to get a lot harder I guess.
