Over here they seem to be recognising that the last few PS3 titles, especially GTA V, look likely to cast a revenue shadow on the PS4 which won't carry them at release.
Our main chain has a deal where you can trade in 5 old PS3 games to "lock in" the current PS3 trade-in value before it drops, so you can swap your PS3 for a PS4 later after you've clocked GTA V. Thinking I might go with that, it's a bit shit, but I've got a few games I don't want for anything and I don't want two consoles.
