playing Alan Wake. Old game, I know.
Problem is, 5 minutes in I feel like hurling
Dizzy?
The Last of Us is a pretty shoddy game. It's a movie with limited (and dull) interactivity.
Big disappointment.

Pretty harsh IMO. You knew you were getting a "movie game" with Naughty Dog being its developers and if you accept that, it's one of the best ever. The opening scene is certainly one of the most convincing and gripping dramatic scenes I have experienced. Don't know what to think about the ending though... However, if you don't like the cut-scenes and movie-like "gameplay" then I understand if you're disappointed.
No, there are games that involve alot of cinematic moments and set-pieces and then there is crud like the last of us that is a throwback to those awful interactive movies that gained some popularity in the 90s.
I'm perfectly aware of what games naughty dog makes, last of us is just a bad one.
Quite the opposite for me. I loved how intense and challenging the game was in general. I was playing it on hard because i heard it was too easy on normal so i don't know if it made a difference.
Just realized the PS4 will only cost £370 here. May buy one sooner than I thought.
Refused to get Mass Effect 3 when it came out at full price but finally got it for a fiver. Only a couple of hours into it, but is it me or have the games gotten more linear each time? The Citadel in particular seemed like a great place to explore in the first but is now very limited.
Story is good though.
Why did you refuse to pay full price upon release?
Because of everyone moaning about the rubbish ending?
Nope. Just because 40 quid for about 30 hours worth of gaming isn't worth it when the price will inevitably fall.
I haven't actually played ME3 yet, but 1 and 2 were a lot longer than 30 hours 🙂
Great games, really enjoyed them. My PC broke around the release of ME3 though, and I haven't gotten a windows desktop since.
You must have spent more time than me scanning planets. ...
Yep, far too much time 😃
I'm a slow player though, doing all the sidequests, and generally taking my time.
Playing Black Ops 2. I think the COD franchise is declining. The game is ok, but not as good as Modern Warfare 2 for instance. The stuff where you have to remote control various equipment and send units to defend various locations really sucks.
That looks absolute crap.
What are you talking about? It looks amazing. Atsushi Inaba and Hideki Kamiya don't make crap games. They wouldn't know where to start.
Looks nothing like a game that I would enjoy, hence I think it looks crap.
Rex, don't be the one guy who still thinks that Gabriel Byrne is Keyser Söze.
Don't worry about Rex, he doesn't understand what he is watching.
